Planned Parenthood: “Choice on Earth” instead of “Peace on Earth”

MichNews
December 20, 2007

“Planned Parenthood’s ‘Choice on Earth’ holiday cards are its latest assault on Christianity,” said Jim Sedlak, vice president of American life League. “By changing the word ‘peace’ to ‘choice’, Planned Parenthood is effectively implying that Mary should have considered aborting Jesus.”

American Life League’s latest video report exposes Planned Parenthood’s continued assault on Christianity. The report goes from ‘Choice on Earth’ holiday cards to Planned Parenthood’s involvement in a 1973 comic book that depicts a sacrilegious rendition of Mad Magazine’s Alfred E. Newman posing as the Blessed Virgin Mary.

“King Herod sent soldiers out to slaughter babies because he wanted to kill Jesus,” said Sedlak. “Two thousand years later, Planned Parenthood is still doing all it can to kill babies. That is what their motto ‘Choice on Earth’ really means.”

“Planned Parenthood continues to flaunt its anti-God, secular humanist agenda in its products and in our schools,” Sedlak concluded. “It is time for all Americans to stay away from this organization.”

Hey, Kurt, where’s my bleeping comment?! I didn’t say ANYTHING inappropriate in that comment, and I don’t write these for my health you!! I’m much too physically ill and disabled to be able to afford to put so much time and effort into writing such a “semi-long” message only to have it illegally censored in violation of my First Amendment rights to freedom of religion and freedom of speech by you!! You probably still have it in the queue, so please post it. Thank you. [You were hoping I wouldn’t come back and notice, weren’t you; and/or you just “don’t care”, right? Please give me a break from your hypocrisy when it comes to the First Amendment, and from your completely unConstitutional and illegal “selective freedom of speech”. Why don’t you “not care” by posting EVERYTHING that doesn’t violate your COC above; and, if you don’t like the religious or whatever other content of the comment(s), just ignore it and/or them? Remember, free speech includes unpopular speech and/or speech that some people, like yourself, don’t like; and, if you refuse to post it, you are carrying out completely illegal censorship!]

Frankly, I find Christians more dangerous to society than pro-lifers. I’ve met some Christians who froth at the mouth when pushing their views and peddling the fake Jesus story (if you still think that story is real, read a few of Tony Bushby’s books), and while I’m sure that there are some pro-lifers who resort to the same desperate measures to bolster their views with an iota of validity, I have yet to see the same maniacal fervor.

Until I see a cogent essay that makes even a remotely sound case for why abortion should be illegal, I’ll continue believing that the boys over at PrisonPlanet, who do, in fact, produce some great writing, are simply being strong-armed by Pastor Alex Jones.

    Just to add my $.02.

I’m an very fundamentalist Christian and post here quite often and haven’t had any problems with Kurt. I do notice the lumping of Christianity (Biblical), churchianity (unBiblical) and paganism with Christian terminology mixed in (unBiblical, like what Bush is) sometimes, but I cannot expect everyone to be well educated on what the Bible teaches.

It’s inevitable that I, as a Christian, will get lumped in with a bunch of psychos that use the same namesake. Just as not all evolutionists like the idea of racism, eugenics and genocide, it’s easy to lump all evolutionists together because they’re linked to the racist ideology of evolution. Some are just more hardcore than others. It’s my job to show them the difference as actions speak louder than words.

Kurt, you do a good job with this site. It’s got a “professional” feeling about it lacking on Alex Jones’ other sites. I get a much more positive response showing newcomers this site than the others. Great article! Keep up the good work.

Moderation on a private site does not equal censorship. Kurt can block comments he doesn’t agree with all day long if that’s what he wants to do. That’s First Amendment, too. I doubt he’s up to that - it’s in the interest of this movement to encourage dialogue, gets people thinking, it means you’re not preaching to the choir - but whatever.

That being said, this article is pretty ridiculous. For Michnews to make the leap from some fundraising Christmas card set (Doves and decorations and whatnot with ‘Choice on Earth’ as the tagline) to the assertion that PlannedParenthood wants to abort Jesus is the most laughable kind of yellow journalism, and is simply pandering to Michnews readership.

Now I want to know what S. Wolf said!
BTW…… I don’t think PP was implying that Mary should have aborted Jesus.
I am neither for nor against. I have kids and can’t imagine not having them. However if someone else feels different for themselves then whatever. I am not the one doing the judging. Planned Parenthood does more than just abortions. OBGYN services for those who might not be able to afford health insurance, etc. Unless you [the anti abortionist] are able to pay for everything that is required to raise a child (before and after) FOR SOMEONE ELSE, then you don’t have the right to say what that women should do. “Oh, adoption is the best option!” Not always. My husband is adopted and I know it worked out for him and his family, not always the case. He is LUCKY and blessed for that. Haven’t you heard of cases where Orphan children were experimented on by the government? Hmmm, don’t believe me just google orphan children new york experimental vaccines. Keep digging if you don’t find it at first. So Don’t sit on your high horse and tell others what they should or shouldn’t do.

    Hey Alex,
Only recently did we start doing these video releases, so perhaps you missed our video on the Planned Parenthood sex book for 10 year olds. You can view the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuUmsZYWnrs. The press release we sent out with is is as follows:

American Life League releases video report on children’s sex book

WASHINGTON, D.C. · November 19, 2007 / PRNewswire / – “Parents need to know what Planned Parenthood has in store for their children and this report is an excellent starting point,” said Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League. “The book ‘It’s Perfectly Normal’ is obscene and offensive to Christians.”

American Life League’s second video report exposes the contents of the book “It’s Perfectly Normal.” Recently, a Washington State Prison rejected a fundraising letter that included censored images from the book for being “sexually explicit” and “obscene.”

American Life League released the report as a part of its continuing effort to educate the public on Planned Parenthood’s activities.

“This video report is just the beginning,” said Sedlak. “We will continue to use this new media to expose the nation’s largest abortion chain and we call on Christians across the nation to join us in putting a stop to tax payer funds for Planned Parenthood.”

  10. S. Wolf Britain on December 25th, 2007

WRONG, “Tehowe”, this is a private site FOR THE PUBLIC, and commenting is allowed and encouraged, therefore censorship on it is completely unConstitutional and illegal. It’s one thing to remove and/or not post comments that include the offenses listed in the COC at the top of the comments, but it is quite another to censor comments that don’t contain any of those or any other offenses. Now, that said, recalling what I said in my comment that was completely wrongly and illegally censored, without going into much if any detail of it, I think Kurt perhaps felt he was somehow “protecting me from myself”, and/or he just plain can’t stomach “judgment of God” stuff; but neither of those excuses or any other reasons justify censoring my comment because I was very careful to explain what I meant and that I was NOT threatening anyone with harm coming from me or any human being on this earth in the flesh, and that the “judgment” is ONLY going to come from God directly, which is completely within my First Amendment rights to say without having it illegally and unConstitutionally censored.

Sure, those of us who tell it like it is are always taking the chance that the “gub’ment” looking over our shoulders at what we write could twist it around, and God knows I’ve written plenty for them to do that with; but they are going to do that regardless; so, we either don’t write comments or anything else at all, or we take the chance that they’re going to completely, intentionally twist some thing(s) around, pull them out of context, and use them against us. That’s what it’s coming to with the “hate” and “thought crime” laws doing away with First Amendment dissent, etc., but we have a duty to speak up unflinchingly, wrong or right, without running scared from the thought police, and I am not going to run scared from them. They are wrong and carrying out anti- and un- Constitutional evil, and carrying out anti- and un- American actions against law-abiding, non-violent, True American Patriots; and ALL True Americans have a duty to resist, stand up against, and dissent against that.

Kurt is unflinchingly, as far as I can tell, doing that himself on a secular level, but he’s so anti- Christian and/or religious, like far too many Americans, that he fails to recognize, like most of them do as well, that the First Amendment includes, EQUALLY, the right(s) to free expression of religion along with secular free speech, and that is one of the most likely reasons that he unConstitutionally and illegally censored my comment (and perhaps because he’s not Pro-Life either—he’s pro- death penalty, after all, so his being pro-abortion wouldn’t surprise me in the least). Regardless, though, Kurt doesn’t have any legal right to censor what I said, which was simply reiterating WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS. In other words, I didn’t originate the thought and/or expression; the Bible says that God is going to carry out judgment against and destroy evildoers; and, once more, I have the complete legal, First Amendment right to express what it says, without censorship, of any kind whatsoever, period.

I did NOT say I was God or that I IN ANY WAY(S) am going to carry out “God’s judgment(s)”; for, I WOULD NEVER DO THAT; and, once again, I was very clear about that in the comment.

Kurt and all other professed- Good Americans should reread the First Amendment, the Founders intent concerning free expression of religion and unpopular speech, and the righteous Supreme Court decisions regarding same; and then he and all those like him should conscientiously cease and desist censoring religious speech in their political blogs or wherever they allow commenting, just because it is unpopular to them, or because they think certain expressions from the Bible are supposedly “threatening”. That is the way the thought police work. Are Kurt and/or those like him the thought police? I should think not. So, if he and/or they want to continue to have the equal right(s) to their free speech and free expression thereof, they should COMPLETELY respect the equal rights of ALL OTHERS to so freely express theirs’, “letting the chips fall where they may”.

If, Kurt, you were trying to “protect me from myself”, thank you but no thank you. I do not need nor require your protection, nor do I think you would really give me any concrete protection anyway. Therefore, when I make it clear that I am NOT being threatening, even if the “gub’ment” probably will and/or might twist it around and falsely and/or fraudulently interpret it that way, then please let what I said “stand”, and post it, without any interference with what I said whatsoever. Otherwise, you are playing the “thought police” yourself as well, and completely unConstitutionally and illegally violating my free speech and First Amendment rights, something I should think you would not want to be a part of, or a party to. I know you don’t want to be like the government, so please don’t be like them in this; and thank your for all of your consideration of this very important matter.
