In Garfield County, Colorado, not only will the state determine if you should take your child to a doctor after a mishap, but if you don’t comply with their on-high directives, they will dispatch a SWAT team to ensure compliance.

According to Tom Shiflett, a Vietnam vet, his son was injured during horseplay, WorldNetDaily reports. Shiflett’s son, John, “was grabbing the door handle of a car as his sister was starting to drive away slowly. He slipped, fell to the ground and hit his head…. There were no broken bones, no dilated eyes, or any other noticeable problems.”

After a neighbor called an ambulance, paramedics “were allowed to see the boy, and found no significant impairment, but wanted to take him to the hospital for an evaluation anyway. Fearing the hospital’s bills, the family refused to allow that.”

According to friends of the family, Tom Shiflett, who has 10 children including six still at home, and served with paramedics in Vietnam, was monitoring his son’s condition himself.

The paramedic and magistrate, however, ruled that that wasn’t adequate, and dispatched the officers to take the boy, John, to a hospital, where a doctor evaluated him and released him immediately.

But this was not sufficient for the sheriff’s office and social services. “Nearly a dozen members of a police SWAT team” were subsequently unleashed in response, “punched a hole in the front door and invaded a family’s home with guns drawn, demanding that an 11-year-old boy… accompany them to the hospital, on the order of Garfield County Magistrate Lain Leoniak.”

It appears Shiflett and his family were made an example, as in part they “live by faith and homeschool,” social behavior anathema to the NWO and its minions in Colorado government and so-called social services and various control commissariats, conversely known as child kidnapping services.

“While people can debate whether or not the father should have brought his son to the ER — it seems like this was not the kind of emergency that warrants this kind of outrageous conduct by government officials,” a spokesman for the Home School Legal Defense Association told WND.

During the SWAT raid for non-compliance, the “boy’s parents and siblings were thrown to the floor at gunpoint and the parents were handcuffed… all because a paramedic was upset the family preferred to care for their son themselves.”

Of course, caring for your own is unacceptable, same as it was in the Soviet Union. Mr. Shiflett and his family learned first-hand that all of us are serfs and when the state barks “jump,” our only response should be “how high, sir?” Our children are property of the state and we will not be allowed to care for them — or for that matter, school them at home — and government intervention will be mandatory, otherwise SWAT goons will be dispatched to kick in the door and act like what they are, Gestapo goons revisited.

    Already have, already did: what happens is, all the police in the county will badmouth you to all the other agencies, and then you’ll have police cars blocking your street, and scaring the neighbors, and they’ll come to kill you.

    Does your house have armor?

    My advice would be to: 1. obey the law; 2. don’t instigate any incidents, but don’t be afraid to study the law and flex your rights; 3. if your rights are violated, then file suit; 4. write to Congress, the FBI, the Senate Subcommittee on National Security (if it’s a DHS abuse matter), be polite and businesslike; 5. You’ll find out that the entire system, from the executive branch, to the legislative branch, to the judicial branch, and all subsidiaries are entirely hollowed out and corrupted out, up to at least the federal appellate court level, and that nobody cares, and if you make a ruckus, you’ll be killed. 6. finally, demand respect in individual interactions, be your own judge and jury, and if you’re rights aren’t respected, renounce your citizenship. You’ll find that they will never respect you, because they planned this all along, you will quickly be tactically overwelmed, and have to leave the country.

    Finally, you’ll conclude, that US citizenship is worthless, because that’s what it is. It’s not a country for red-blooded, upstanding, honest men of integrity anymore, it’s a country run by wicked, devilish, conniving old men, and run by a bunch of old ladies who want their mansions to be safe, and for you to be put in a cage just for breathing, because of your virility, because of your inquisitiveness, because you like to take photographs and learn things, and they don’t like that. This government wants you to be stupid, and to just shut up and not question the men in black uniforms.

    So don’t you ask me, “Ohhh, wellll, why didn’t you fight back, huh?” Because I did, and they came to kill me. Do you know what that feels like? You know, it seems everywhere I look, there’s an internet tough guy. You can talk big here, but if anything real happened, you would fall down the stairs like a woman getting caught in her own dress, head over heels.

    How many times have you been interrogated? How many standoffs have you been in?

    Without critical mass, without weapons, and the will to use them, and training, and good discernment, you can accomplish nothing. You know what keeps the police from kicking in your door at night in Texas? Not the Constitution, my friend, but the fact that you might be armed.

    You need to get a rifle. A good rifle, a battle rifle. And then purchase some human silloutte targets. Find a lawful target area, on land where you can shoot, and set up the targets. Set them up where the public won’t generally see them, but where the police can find them, if they sniff around –they’ll sniff around, trust me.

    Make sure you can hit the targets–right between the eyes. Keep that gun where you can use it within 2 seconds in your house. That’s called the 2 second rule. If anything tries to come in that door without your permission, you shoot it, and ask questions later. Don’t worry who it is.

    The police do the same thing, and you have the right to.

    That is, if you’re interested in salvaging your citizenship, which, in my opinion, is a waste of time. They’ll just have faster guns, and bigger guns, and better scopes, and more men, and more armor, and it seems that the people running the United States are determined to make it into a living hell, so, removing yourself from the situation allows you to not have to kill them, when they try to kill you, which they will.

    That’s how it works.

    I don’t blame the state on this one, I blame the individual citizens of Colorado who thought it was ok to take these actions. In my opinion, the people of Garfield County should fire the paramedic who complained, the magistrate who listened, and of course the SWAT team who intervened.

    If the magistrate thought this was such a big deal he/she should have driven to the home and spoken to the parents and seen the child. For them to break down a door of a family of ten and hand-cuff the parents and kidnap a child, they should all be fired and fined.

    I cannot do anything about this but give my opinion. The PEOPLE of Garfield County have to do something about this, they are allowing it and only they can stop it.

    Also, I imagine the father will sue and maybe even win, unfortunately I have no doubts that he will “win” money from the state (other citizens of Garfield County,) rather than “winning” by having each GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL involved with the case FIRED and FINED.

    What happened to America where you child bumps their head and you are arrested after your house has been broken into. ????

    You got any news reports, etc, about your story?

    You make some valid points, but really, you forget that all of this starts at the local level. If people would be more proactive in their local government, become a delegate, run for offices, etc, then a lot less of this would happen.

    Obviously, there are places and situations where changing these attitudes just isn’t possible, but for the most part, in America, the only reason people get away with this is due to apathy on all our parts.

    This man can and should file suit against everyone remotely involved. In addition, start petitioning to remove the officials (Sheriff for instance) involved. Even run against them. Get out there and connect with like-minded individuals. Fill up the open party delegate and chairman positions.

    Use scare tactics to get people to wake-up to what’s happened (They use ‘em to enslave us, might as well use the same weapons against them). Write letter’s to the editors of local newspapers.

    Our loss of rights was a slow drawn out process of baby steps. The battle to get them back is going to be the same.

    And remember, as an active member in your local government you can control the most important weapon of all against these people, tax revenue. The police are absolutely terrified their budget might be cut, not to mention government entities like Social Services.

    Do not repeat, do not write to the FBI or any state agency, etc. This is a complete waste of time. I have sent about 1,000 letters to federal and state agencies about the civil rights abuses in California. Nothing. Nothing. One agency wrote me that they had 1,388 pages of information from me about criminal racketeering but decided not to investigate further. Writing to the FBI will only target you for the first wave of being rounded up.

    I grew up with guns. My father had plenty and so did my grandfathers on both sides of the family. I won’t hesitate to pull the trigger on anyone invading my home, especially anyone wearing a vest saying SWAT. I have some specialty ammo just for that occasion. It is your duty to have a gun to protect your country, your family and yourself. Writing to the government is usually a waste of time unless you can get someone local to respond to your needs. You can go to their office if you can drive to the state capital and see if they are honest enough to help you. Sueing is usually the best thing if you want to go the legal route. sue both the government and the police chief and magistrate “personally”.

    Well, it may not protect your particular family in that present situation, however, it will help protect our traditional American way of life for others. We must understand that the purpose of the second amendment is not so we can go hunting or shoot sporting clays, it is there so the government will be afraid of the people. If these SWAT teams start getting blowback when they enter peoples houses they will begin to re-evaluate their tactics.

    What good is suing the government going to do? How many times have they been sued for abuses such as this? And has it stopped? If the Federal Reserve can print all the money it wants, what will stop the government from borrowing a few more bills to settle lawsuits? It’s only you and your kids that will have to pay for them in the end. The second amendment doesn’t say “if the government is no good, you can sue it”.

    And since the courts are obviously so corrupted, what makes you think you’ll win? By the time all the appeals are over, it’s bye-bye civil rights. Not to mention the grief corrputed law enforcment will give you.

    I’m with JC on this one. Denounce your citizenship and get out NOW while you still can. You only have a lifetime of tyranny and taxes to look forward to.

    si, I too am a big Ron Paul fan, and like you, I too think he is the only chance Americans have. But I’ve been watching the caucases/primaries closely and I still cannot believe there are so many Americans who strongly believe in the likes of Clinton/Giuliani/McCain. There are people in the streets yelling 911 was an inside job and people are spitting at them! Do you REALLY think enough Americans are going to get up and retake their liberties? I would like to believe it but I think it’s highly probable that they won’t. The days of sacrifice for a higher cause is over in the US. It’s like having a spolied child that won’t realize how his laziness will affect him until he grows up and the chains which were too invisible to see have become to heavy to break free from and life kicks him in his arse.     You can’t fight SWAT. They are covered head to foot in armor, they have full-auto weapons. They train all day every day to enter your house quickly and kill you if you flinch. They set off flash-bangs and enter so fast that the 2 second rule is really not an exaggeration. They don’t knock. They don’t announce who they are until after the flash bangs are going off. They win every time.

    This was ok as long as SWAT was going after gang bangers and really dangerous people. Now they have turned the gun on the rest of us.

    The court is corrupt. The media is corrupt. The political process is corrupt. You will be made a target.

    Do you think that a pattern of patriots being killed in their homes by SWAT will gain media attention and start a counter movement? Do we forget Waco and Ruby Ridge? The media is no ally and our fellow americans are zoned out in front of the TV.

    I honestly don’t know what the answer is. Perhaps the system’s corruption and incompetence will be its own undoing? All I can figure is to get right with God. Live an honest and good life, being an enemy of no man. If they kill you, then you get to be with the King sooner. Those with families, you need to be brave and be a leader.

    Chad, a few points.

    They have yet to make fire-proof armor. Keep that in mind.

    SWAT teams are made up of regular officers, usually patrol, who do SWAT as an extra duty. In some areas they train as a team once a week, but in the vast majority of areas, it’s once a MONTH or LESS. Usually less.

    Number Three: “They win every time”

    If you truly believe that, quit and leave the country now. We have no use for you. Don’t by into the propaganda spewed forth by TV and the police agencies. If you plan properly and train, anything can be accomplished.

    You make many good points. Basically, I’m just saying that when they surround a home and make a surprise entry, the folks inside have no chance. There _is_ a chance if you know that they are coming. But, again, look at Waco… they don’t go home without a prize. Best to live again to fight another day.

    Believe me, I am ready for the red dawn, but I won’t go into details on a public internet forum. Remember, just recently in these parts, a good man was sent to prison for having an ‘arsenal’ of a little over 1000rnds and patriot reading material. If TSHTF, I’ll be right there with you brother.

    Stories like this really hit me hard though. I was home schooled, and when I start my own family (hopefully soon), I will homeschool my children. The gov is doing everything to scare folks into submission. It is going to take really brave family leadership and providence to survive this storm.

    I am not surprised by this, it only makes me angrier every day. It’s a good thing my blood pressure is normal or I might blow my cork. I now plan to purchase weapons for home defence, but I have never owned a gun before although I hunted when in high school and target shot. It’s time for me to make a choice whether to stay and fight or leave. I have no family of my own, so I don’t have much to loose or for this filthy, corrupt government to threaten.
    We are surrounded by enemies of liberty: the government, the press and the media, the courts, and most social services.
    4American patriots need to find a way to come together in common cause. We need to use whatever means necessary and available to topple the facist regime.

    I no longer ask what the world is coming to. I see it all around me in the news and in real life to friends and family and myself. We have no one to blame but ourselves. To offer “leagal” soulotions has become problematic in that the only ones punished for such transgressions are those taxpayers who have no say as to hiring/firing policies, local legislation or other such variables. We are all victoms of the organized crime syndicates that we elected and there are realistically only two ways of rectifying this. We can collectivly begin redesigning our local, regional, state and federal electoral policies (good luck with that). Or plan B, which for the sake of trying to get this posted shall remain nameless. Anywho the stupid system is broke and someone needs to start fixin it soon. Who’s up for that???

    I started studying”the law” over 20 years ago. What worked then may not work now however, one might still try this one. 1983 Title 42 USC. This is the unequivical Smith & Wesson in the law world. When a public service official exceeds their (authority) then they can be sued (personally) for breach of contract with we the people, since they are still required to take an oath of office. This entails a sworn affidavit, a witness and a notary public. This process is known as the Commercial affidavt process and it is quite simply the best tool available for righting the wrongs. Otherwise known as a commercial lien, it is a guided missle on a 30 day grace period! There is no judge, no jury, no badge!!! The accused has 30 days to answer to the complaint or risk losing EVERYTHING they own. The Sheriff then has the power to enforce the lien by taking posession of all property and paychecks! The Sheriff is the only law enforcement agent that we need to respect or acknowledge as he is the only one that is still ELECTED! Anyone hindering this proceedure can be served as well. Also study the UCC, Admirality Law, and contracts. Hope this helps, good luck.

    my mother has been homeschooling my 14 year old sister for 4 years now. i personally teach her gym and art. public schools don’t teach squat. i was in both catholic and public schools growing up. the wrong history is taught. eveolution is taught in those brick and mortem schools. at least when your taught from home, your taught that we didn’t evolve from a stupid monkey and that we were created by our lord almighty. the constitution is taught the right way. not the way it was revised in the 70’s. if i honestly ever have such an astrosity storm through my doors like those ditzes did in colorado, i won’t stand for it. i will fight back. nobody, especially the damn government is going to tell us how to raise our children.

    First of all, its too late to start yelling fire when the house is burnt to the ground. We have been taken over from the inside out long ago. Americas very foundation of freedom and open boarders was our very weakness used as a weapon to take this country from the inside out. What better way to capture us and remove our freedom then to send their own people in to live here, run for president, become president (and other govt agents) and slowly remove all our rights. Of course, they know they can control the masses if they can have control over their minds so they must to educate your children thru public education or force you to be in compliance with their teaching methods, and thru the TV and lack of parental guidance. Since we cant afford for moms to stay home.
    Second, why should we fight a losing battle? According to my interpretation of the scriptures when it refers to the end times, it seems to me all this and more must happen to bring about repentance, and bring in the entrance of the Kingdom. So if all these things must happen, nothing we can do will prevent it. Now is the day and time when we should be heeding the warnings of the signs of the times when the scripture tells us to hide ourselves. To ‘flee to the mountain’, or some other area of less population. The world is going to be punished… and if we dont want to be partakers of her plagues when Yah-weh pours out his wrath then we need to remove ourselves from it. It wont be as it was when they were in egypt and were able to put blood on their doorsteps so that the angel of death would pass over them, we will not be protected if we are in the wrong place. It says that it will be as the Days of Noah… perhaps no flood, but perhaps just maybe we can derive a few hints from that story… if you would check into the story of Noah again. Yah-weh has always prepared and revealed a way of safety for His children before disaster came.
    I do say Ron Paul appears to be the only hope for America if we are to have any hope for a little longer time to sleep and pretend its all not going to go down anyway…
    As for sueing the govt for wrongs done to us… if it makes you feel better, fine. But the damage has already been done. Little children no longer feel safe in their own home and mothers and fathers feel helpless to protect them. You cant sue for that back. So what if you own a gun and shoot one of them… you wont likely live to tell it, and if you have kids, you just left them defenseless and now they have your kid to educate…
    The lines are being drawn clear and I am sure they would tell you the same thing I would… “get out or get in line”. You are a terrorist.

    I live here in Colorado and these are not thet only abuses committed out here in the name of ‘Law and Order’ they are many and varied. If you are non-hispanic you are basically ignored. They seem to cater to the illegals in the western states ie:Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, etc.

    About the coming (s)election, and how the results are tied into the End of Time. Did anyone here read the Left Behind book series? Do you recognize anyone who is currently running for President?     I have lived in colorado all my 44 years. This story upset me.. yesterday Ron Paul only gets *% of the New Hampshire vote! The American people are stuck on stupid! Ron Paul is the only one who can stop this BS. And yet no one wants to vote for him… very sad!

    Some of my friends still (secretly-oh, I know what you do in there) laugh at me when I tell them that Waco was an experiment to see how the American people would react to government murder. The reaction? “See if the ballgame is on yet will ya?”
    Your reaction matters people - if this had been done in a black neighborhood the city would be on fire. The white people are seperated because they watch too much TV - get out and know your neighbors - get a plan together to defend yourselves before, during, and after something like this happens. Talk with your sherriffs - if they’ll talk to you - before they get elected and make sure that they won’t allow this to happen!!! Cameras with off site recording is the best way to go - that way they can’t just destroy everything and then its their word against a bunch of debris and ashes like it was in Waco.

    Why is this EMT or Paramedic allowed to call anyone in his suspicions?!! I thought that they were still under the patient/doctor relationship? If they aren’t I can refuse them to come onto my property and also refuse them permission to even look at my kid. They aren’t even the police - they swear nothing to put them under any responsiblities to their actions. Why are they even allowed to go onto people’s property - except to drum up business so that they can keep their jobs. Parents have the responsibility to raise their children as they see fit - not the state. The state has a responsibility that each individual under color of law swears to observe if they don’t do this they put their own lives in peril.

    Certainly the members of the SWAT team and the magistrate have clearly done that as well as the Paramedic for violating the patient/doctor relationship of confidentiality.

    Now who wants any paramedic coming into their home? If they see anything out of place or if you refuse treatment can they then be a ward of the police or state? I don’t know and neither now do you.

    If some pushy paramedic who knows now that he has the weight of the court to swing around doesn’t like you because you looked at him wrong with your glass eye decides to “turn you in”. What’s to stop him?

    Does anyone in this government of ours think about those kinds of consequences or are the merely going to state that . . . since a paramedic is doing a mission of mercy he is allowed to walk into anyone’s house at anytime . . . !!!

    Is this the future of medicine as well as government too?

    By the way. Did you ever look to see how close Waco is to Crawford, TX? Estate of George W. Bush? Were the Branch Davidians just pesky people who wouldn’t go away? Or did someone in there have something on W? Makes you wonder doesn’t it? Especially since “W” has killed almost a million people since he got into the Presidency. Of course, he doesn’t have the guts to do it himself - when his nation called on him - he went AWOL just like the Clintons (yeah, Hillary too - if she really believes in women’s equal rights then that comes with a responsibility to serve in the military just as any man at the time did - but she’d rather RUN the military - she isn’t looking for equal rights - hers have to be superior, elitist rights just like her husband - and I apologize to all the real husbands out there for even calling him that!) [ where was I? Oh yeah, Bush the Cowerer] Bush doesn’t have the guts to go over there and fight but he’ll send your kids over there to stand in the way of some bombs while all along his buddies are supplying them for the other side. See how it works now? They always kill more than one bird with one stone but my question is - “Do we now have that blood on our hands as well?” - For sitting on the sidelines and not demanding - not just his impeachment from office but his trial for treason as well!!!

    Bush ran under the catch-phrase of “Compassionate Conservative” didn’t he? Where’s the compassion and where’s the conservativism?!!? I want to see at least some of this fluffy stuff that he says he is/was otherwise I’m liable to think he’s a liar!!!! Bush has killed more people through the guise of Democracy than Saddam ever killed through the guise of National Security. Now this kind of thing (the SWAT team coming over to “protect” the children - that’s a laugh) happens under the guise of “protect the children”. What business is it of theirs?!! They swear an oath to do things according to the Constitution and yet they blindly follow orders to break down someone’s door and make them crawl on the floor to their “lordships” to kidnap a child who obviously isn’t hurt?!! These “officers” need to be arrested and thrown into prison for 40 years for violating these people and their oath of office, and if they haven’t filed their “oaths of office” properly they’re in violation of operating under color of law without being such.

    Any excuse at all to punish people who want to rear their children right. If they were running a meth lab it would be illegal to stop them and they would need “definite proof” before going up to knock on their door and ask if they could come in now.

    The guys at work all are a little suspicious when these guys start to talk “make a better world” and “bring Democracy to . . . ” they think that it’s a code name for “prepare for war - they need to kill some of the young US citizens off - or make them so weak that they are like the walking wounded for the rest of their lives from the “immunizations” that they give them!!!”.

    Stop the War!!! They’re decimating our troops!!!

    I find it ironic that had the child been in the hospital and the parents were trying to keep doctors from forcing a blood transfusion on their child based on religious grounds, many of you would be calling the parents murderers and calling for the state to take the child and incarcerate the parents.

    Who or what entity counted the votes in New Hampshire? Most of the people voted on paperless, hackable electronic voting machines. I don’t believe for one minute that the insane, war mongering McCain was fairly chosen. What tiny nation controls our phone system?     Nobody is asking the only question that counts… who pays for this medical care? Is Garfield County going to step up and guarantee payment for the medical care they seek to impose on its citizens? Is the SWAT? Is the magistrate? If none of them, then how in the world is such a law even enforceable? Or could this be the advent of free medical care, a truly socialized state?
