Lord Save Us from Useful Green Idiots

From John D. Dingell of Michigan, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, to ba-zillionaire mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg and now U2 frontman Bono, we endure calls for a carbon tax. So thick is the hype, so deep is the indoctrination, the New York Times went out of its way to declare that “everyone is using the atmosphere like a municipal dump, depositing carbon dioxide free,” in other words the very fact you are breathing is detrimental to the planet.

Al Gore has declared the discussion over, even though, as Paul Joseph Watson notes, “over 100 prominent scientists who have signed a letter slamming the UN move” toward a carbon tax “as a futile bureaucratic scheme” and “pointing out the results of a recent study in the International Journal of Climatology which concludes that climate change over the past thirty years is largely a result of solar activity and that attempts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions are irrelevant.”

Al Gore, Mr. Green himself, is an inch short of having these heretics flayed alive for the “eco crime” of disagreement based on reality-based science. Like the converso minority of yore, these scientists are to be persecuted for heresy. The only thing missing is the rack, although Al and the new Green bureaucrats — globalist autocrats to the man and woman — expect these enviro-criminals to engage in groveling fashion to the auto de fe, that is to say to ask for penance. Al is our Tomás de Torquemada reborn, the Inquisitor General of the Earth cult.

Enter the pathetic suck-up Paul David Hewson, aka Bono. “Having climate campaigner Al Gore round to your house is to open yourself to a self-flagellating guilt trip, Irish rock star Bono confessed Thursday,” reports AFP. “Sharing a stage with the former US vice president at the annual gathering of world movers and shakers in the Swiss ski resort of Davos, the U2 frontman joked that their friendship was a source of pressure on the domestic front” because “here’s the recycler Al, you know… I’ve got a posh car, but it runs on ethanol.”

Bono’s doing his part, playing the clown at Davos, and never mind that the grain required to fill a 25-gallon SUV gas tank with ethanol will feed one person for a year and the grain needed to fill that same tank every two weeks over a year will feed 26 people, as Lester Brown points out for the Globalist. “Simply put, the stage is being set for a head-on collision between the world’s 800 million affluent automobile owners and food consumers.”

But then starvation is not as problem for the one-world globalist types at Davos. For instance, Henry Kissinger, in attendance at the posh resort in Switzerland, basically stage managed talks between the NSC and the Club of Rome back in the mid 1970s. The Club of Rome, controlled by Europe’s nobility, “is the primary promotion agency for the genocidal reduction of world population levels,” writes Lonnie Wolfe. “This group drafted the Carter administration’s Global 2000 document, which calls for global population reduction.”

It takes a certain kind of sociopath and the occasional psychopath like Heinz Kissinger to come up with the peculiar idea that breathing is detrimental to the planet, an idea so common it is now telegraphed across the pages of the Gray Lady, the same venue used shamelessly to sell genocidal wars against distant people — in Iraq, a million dead bodies and counting — who unfortunately sit atop a lot of oil and generally follow a religion that preaches against the dictates of Wall Street and the City of London, i.e., never-ending and predatory usury and loan sharking, especially of the sort organized by the World Bank and the IMF, is a sin. Depleted uranium is required in such cases.

But back to our famous pagliaccio, Mr. Bono. “Acknowledging that a career in rock music was not always conducive to a green lifestyle, Bono compared a conversation with Gore to an act of religious contrition… ‘It’s like being with an Irish priest. You start to confess your sins,’ he said. ‘Father Al, I am not just a noise polluter, I am a noise-polluting, diesel-soaking, gulfstream-flying rock star… I’m going to kick the habit. I’m trying father Al, but oil has been very good for me — those convoys of articulated lorries, petrochemical products, hair gel.’”

Ha ha, big funny. But it is not funny. Because ultimately what we are talking about here is “sustainability,” and for the United Nations and the globalist elite, including minion Al Gore, this will come at a huge and miserable human cost. It’s part and parcel of the globalist control grid. “It should be noted that Agenda 21 sets up the global infrastructure needed to manage, count, and control all of the world’s assets,” writes Joan Veon.

Included are the forests, fresh water, agricultural lands, deserts, pastures, rangelands, farmers’ fields, oceans and inland waterways, marine environment, marine life, cities, housing, sewer and solid wastes, methods of production, air, pollution, biotechnology-every aspect of living-farming, production and manufacturing, research and medicine, etc., along with you and I. Today everything is sustainable: sustainable water, sustainable forests, sustainable markets, sustainable agriculture, etc.

In order to get all this “sustainability,” we’ll need a world government and that’s what the carbon tax — along with previous scams, such as a fuel use tax, a tax on currency transactions (the Tobin tax), an arms sales tax, a global lottery, and a tax on international airline travel, etc. — is all about. Of course, a breathing tax is near perfect — that is unless you plan on giving up the practice of breathing in short order.

Bono will be allowed to keep his lavish rock star lifestyle because he is a useful idiot for the elite.

And so will Al Gore with his 20-room mansion in Tennessee with its 221,000 kilowatt-hours of energy usage in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours.

Minionhood for the global elite has its privileges.

    Right-on, Kurt! These elitist mind-f***ers make me sick! They’re screwing us every which way but loose, and they’re convincing most people to like it as long as they get lied to in an entertaining fashion and get to hear “good” music (I never did care for U2)! We’re supposed to worship them because they’re ambitious, “successful” and filthy rich, and even love that they got that way at our expense! As they say in the U.K., “Bugger that”! Notice most of these “screw-us-all” a**holes don’t much believe in God, if at all! Or they “do”, but their god is Satan! So right, “Lord Save Us from (All of These Schmuck)-Idiots”!

  2. Climate Liars on January 25th, 2008

    People like Bono don´t know a heck of what they´re doing. They´re compartmentalized in a way. Like politicians, they just revel in being in the spotlight, the media, being worshipped by fans etc.
    They are attention-junkies and do what ever they need to get attention.

    Yet they never really see the big picture. They just wanna “feel good” - like the mindless drooling yuppies who think they “know it all”.

    But reality will come down on them eventually.

  3. Alan on January 25th, 2008

    Here in Ireland we all know Bono is fake. In the future will we see psychotic CO2 wars to “protect” the earth? Are they going to invade large population countries like India because there are so many breathing out “hazardous” Cardon Oxygen2, there might be no earth left if we don’t stop them.

  6. Climate Liars on January 25th, 2008

    @Alan

    Of course, because it´s all about getting rid of 80 or 90% of the people.
    The rest will be crammed in locked-down megacities which are connected by superhighways. Outside the cities it will be all fuckin UN Biodiversity No-go-areas. Except for the elite´s resorts.
    The urban population will be under total surveillance and dumbed down with potent drugs, delivered by air or water supply. They are to work and produce the elite´s needed goods. In their little free time they will be sedated with virtual reality video games, pornography and robotic prostitution. Who doesn´t comply will get killed. If a city rises up and rebels they just nuke it or release bioweapons.

    The New World Order is not a distant future. It´s already here. We´re already living in it - the only difference is the extent in which we live in it. We can still turn things around for the better. It´s not just about Ron Paul. It´s an infowar. You need to get people´s attention about:
    - false flag terror scam
    - false left/right paradigm
    - false “climate catasrtophe”
    - the truth about the UN
    - fight against artificial globalization which manifests in supranational organizations like EU and SPP/NAU

    I call it artificial globalization because there is also a real globalization, i.e. the power of the internet which brings people together for the good.

    Think we should Only Tax the people that believe carbon gas is Bad for the Planet.These Green Fools should wake up and smell a clean forest air. Why Tax Joe? when Mr.Idustrialist is the world polluter.All Joe has to do is Stop Buying Mr.Industrial’s products untill he cleans up his Factories. We can only fight this Beast if we all pull together as Team. Breathing Tax! I think the Beatles wrote a song called “The Tax Man” Which I think goes in the lyrics it’s says “Just hope they don’t tax the air you breath…Tax Man” Scary Huh? CO2 is essential to life. It is part of the carbon cycle. If we try to change the carbon cycle, we all suffer. Nature is smart. The more people on earth, the more carbon dioxide is release… the more food can be produced. They will control the world population through their stomach… unless we stop them.

    Just imagine how much hot air those “holier than thous” were spewing over there in Switzerland. Their hot air should have been enough to melt the alpen snows. Bono alone exhudes more CO2 in one concert than 1000 indian children do in a lifetime. He should shut up.

  17. Max on January 25th, 2008

    I just took an extra big deep breath just so I could piss Gore off :)
    I think the biggest proof against this madness is the provable fact that the sun is constantly changing and going in cycles and that is the largest thing by far compared to any other factor that has any effect upon earth. Just a small heating or cooling or even a flare of the sun has direct ramifications whether we have a hot month or cold month, year or century, and these things happening in the sun are not predictable. This point is never talked about in the media as it is not politically correct.

    To get a visual idea of how insignificant what happens on earth is compared to the sun’s effect on us, picture this in your mind:

    Q: How many earths could you fit in the sun?
    A: Precisely: 33,400,000. (volume wise) Yes those are 33 millions ok.
    School of Astronomical Sciences, Belgium. Group Article Number 5050. Passage No. 211.

    Q: Weight of the Sun compare to earth
    A: The Sun’s mass is about 333,000 times Earth’s mass.

    Now try to visualize how perfectly the Earth was placed in space for this ratio to continue, then realize how powerful the heat of the sun has upon us in relation to how absolutely vast it is compared to us.

    Now relax and take an extra deep breath just to piss off Gore some more, remember God gave it to you for free without tax! :)

    According to the Satanic Bible, there is no greater sin than stupidity. Wolf, you may want to take note.

    You can’t blame the elite if people are so damn stupid that they will believe things contrary to basic common sense. At some point, people have to take responsibility for their own actions and that which they will swallow whole, even though somewhere in their twit mind red flags are possibly waving.

    Wolf, stop preaching, no one cares. Jesus didn’t do it. I’ve seen you on so many, many articles, even God is tired of hearing His Name coming from you. U2’s Zoo TV tour basically told us what was coming…in 1992.

    For those not familiar with Zoo TV, I’d HIGHLY suggest watching it on youtube.

    In fact, watch this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z_wV4pPiHg

    In the first second you will see the European Union flag…falling to pieces….but to fully understand what U2 were trying to say, you’ll have to watch the full concert.

    Zoo TV was all about the New World Order.

    This concert tour was so far ahead of its time, people still can’t believe the band pulled it off 16 years ago. It was the biggest rock concert tour in history, and perhaps the most important.

    Please remember one very important thing: the band is named after the U2 SPY plane, and Bono is the Fly, and he also plays Mr. MacPhisto…both characters portraying the devil.

    U2 is a very talented band, especially live. Bono is still married to his high school sweetheart, and the band is still together in its original form…no band can say that these days.

    The Edge makes Keith Richards look like a banjo player.

    The Irish are NOT internationalists.

    When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

    Bono wants to be like John Lennon, but he doesn’t want to get shot at either.

    I guess people didn’t listen.

Talk about brainwashed. If you holier than thou, know-it-all, bible-tumping hypocrites could keep god out of your conversations for 5 minutes you’d probably have a little more credibility.
    I think we have more pressing issues to worry about right now than cow flatulence…Like maybe how to get that dictatorial piece of filth and his croney out of the white house and into a jail cell before they conduct another false flag operation and seize control of this government like that madman with a funny little mustache once did. What do you think? How about we start thinking of how we can get everyone to rise up against this government like our constitution MANDATES we do. You want to help do your part? Knock off the lip service and get out there on the streets and take your goddam country back you effin cowards!

    Usual rhetoric from Bono, Gore & co. Its about time we rose up and took this planet back from the greedy, selfish elite. They rose up in Africa and took their country back, they rose up in Northern Ireland and forced the British to comply and its about time the population of this planet rose up and sheds the blood of the tiny minority of elite bankers and politicians etc so we can have our world the way WE want it.

If not then you are a stupid white american idiot who thinks he’s Irish because his Grandaddy once ate a potato… You dont like being called a Brit so I guess you like being called an European cos the Irish government are so far up the EU’s asshole they cant even see daylight. The person above who says that Edge makes Keith Richards look like a banjo player cannot be a musician.

    As for the future, Ron Paul supporters like myself have got to face the fact that all Americans need to address & address now: Diebold electronic voting machines - they are the # 1 obstacle preventing a fair election in November. Until the public demands that these machines be removed from the process, all bantering about the candidates views on issues is moot. If you don’t believe me just view “Hacking Democracy” on HBO, or view it free on youtube. If these machines are in place next fall, as they have been through these sham/scam primaries, then all of our efforts are for naught. In fact, even if you don’t support Dr. Paul, your candidate of choice may fall victim as well (e.g. Obama in N.H.). Remove these machines and replace them with a PUBLIC, VIDEOW-TAPED, paper ballot system now before it is too late.

    I can’t help but feel that this election is America’s last chance to get it right. Ron Paul had to be talked into running in the first place. He is humble, knowledgeable and not consumed by self-righteousness like most of the other candidates. The man has even turned down his Congressional pension when he retires! When was the last time you saw any politician turn down money? Again, we need to get rid of these damn machines now…

  32. Sullivan on January 26th, 2008

    From the very early days of U2, and even before, when the band was called “The Hype”, Bono was always someone who felt free to preach on things he hadn’t the first clue about, so this is nothing new. Given that he is not backwards about coming forwards in supporting the utterly ridiculous notion of a “carbon tax”, he’ll be offering to pay on behalf of those of us who simply can’t afford it? If not, he should do himself and humankind a favour and STFU. He is nothing more than an irritating court jester for the global so-called “elite”.

    Bono is so committed to the payment of taxes that he moved his business interests out of Ireland, where he was (unfortunately) born, to Holland, where the tax regime was more in his favour. This guy doesn’t pay his way. What gives him the right to spend other’s money?

  33. James on January 26th, 2008

    Yea folks we are all being taken,but look on the bright side,if Ron Paul wins he will abolish the carbon tax. We will then just be forced to pay some private corperation for clean air! Market enviromentalisam,it is the new rage.What the heck,we pay market prices for food,health care,the land we live on,and somtimes water ,so why not for the air we breath ! Of course their are other possobilities,like conservation,cooperation,public land trusts,and just not polluting are natural world anymore,but these things would not benifit big buisness,and require that we not pay for what nature alone should provide.We want freedom and we are willing to pay for it,endlessly.

  34. Sullivan on January 26th, 2008

    @Patrick Fitzmichael…
    Martiniland? Nice one! Although these days, (Nose)CandyLand would be more appropriate. Don’t worry, the fecal will be hitting the rotary oscillator very soon now, and the likelihood of the “toygor cubs” being able to afford basic necessities, let alone Martini, will become increasingly slim.

    @ZooAmerica…
    The Edge makes Keith Richards look like a banjo player? What on earth do you mean by that? The Edge has had plenty of time to practice and has become a guitarist of average standard. When he first started out, his sound relied heavily on the WEM Copycat echo box to obscure his lack of technical ability. Up to recently he can be observed watching the frets as he plays. No guitarist of a high standard needs to do that. U2 are talented entertainers, but as musicians they are pretty lacklustre. Strip away the spectacle of a U2 show, and you haven’t got much left, which is why the spectacle is there in the first place.

    By the way, the Irish have in the past shown themselves to be internationalists, but are probably not particularly given to globalism. The two are not the same thing.

  35. Sullivan on January 26th, 2008

    Apart from the fact that as a Dubliner I’m bored silly with U2 by now, as a keyboard player, I have to admit a strong dislike for U2. They had a keyboard player contributing to their live sound from deep underneath the stage during the Joshua Tree tour, and probably on subsequent tours as well. Most bands that employ session musicians at least have the requisite respect to have them play alongside the rest of the band on stage, but that egalitarian approach is not for the bozos in U2!

    This article is inaccurate when assuming there is a food versus fuel controversy. There are ways to have Ethanol and Food, even ways to have Ethanol without using prime crop land.

    The Ethanol issue is being attacked by proponents
    of Big Oil. Remember, It was Rockefeller who paid over 4 million dollars to pass Prohibition. There used to be more stills on farms in america than gas stations.

    The real danger is a Carbon Tax, followed by a law to outlaw
    Ethanol so Big Oil will remain the sole King.

    All of those “poverty” programs are a scam to bring 3rd world countries under the control of the west (i.e. UN, IMF, WTO etc.) NOT to help the starving people in Africa or South America. The “relief” programs are solely to gain control of the 3rd world FOOD SUPPLY in order to propagate an “orderly” genocide. In other words Bono, Bill and Melinda Gates, Ted Turner et. al are bringing a “kinder, gentler” GENOCIDE.

    Yes kids the globalist population reduction scheme is already in motion and doing quite well.

    (1-26-08) James, that isn’t what I meant. I don’t know how they sware in Ireland, so I was simply using a Brit pejorative since I knew it. I wasn’t saying Bono’s a Brit by any means. I know better. Especially with all of you great Irish brothers (and sisters?) reminding me/us that he’s Irish! ;) Besides, doesn’t just about everyone know by now, especially if they’re U2 fans, that they’re an Irish band, not Brit, even amongst the dummies here in the La-La-U.S.? Of course, you’re probably right, most “Americans” probably do glom the Irish together with the Brits! Sorry for the misunderstanding!

    “B.D.S.”, don’t forget that I, and every other deeply religious person, have just as much right(s) to write just about everything they want here as you and your anti-Christian ilk have! Get, or keep, that straight, Num(b)skull! And, as has been made more than clear by several people, particularly in other TruthNews.US threads, they like to read my comments, or at least some of them. I am NOT going to stop sharing “the rest of the Truth” just because faithless, hateful people like yourself don’t want to see or “hear” it! You got that?! You, and everyone, need(s) God whether you want to believe it or not!! I make absolutely NO apologies for stating that and related facts, and especially for quoting God’s Word(s), where I do, since that is where the Power is, because they are the very “embodiment” of Jesus the Christ, our Maker, and the Word(s) of God, Himself!! You really ought to read it for yourself so you know what you’re talking about!!

    So learn to live with my, and others’, “preaching”!! After all, you “preach” your opinions!! Oh, but I forgot, your and others of your ilk’s opinions are supposedly okay to preach, but religious people’s are not?! Jesus didn’t preach?! You must now have read the Bible then, especially the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John!! Jesus the Christ, even went in and preached to the people and the Pharisees in the synagogues, as very clearly pointed out it the aforementioned gospels!! Also, that’s Him (Jesus the Christ) preaching through his patriarchs, prophets and apostles all through the Bible, including the Old Testament!! The entire Bible is His Word(s) and His sermons that He preached!! So please give us all a break from your insensibilities and ignorance on the subject, which you speak of as if you know something truly truthful about, which you clearly don’t!! Once again, wake ALL THE WAY up!! God is your ultimate ONLY Hope!!

    Well, I guess most “Americans” aren’t the only ones who are mostly racist(s)! Reading these comments I get the impression it’s just about everywhere! The Irish are supposedly better than the Brits, the Brits are supposedly better than the Irish, etc.! Enough of this defensiveness about our countries and our heritage! As an American, I’m the first to say, and been saying for a long time, that Americans are NOT better than ANYONE on the face of the entire planet, though I’m also the first to admit that the U.S. government acts like they are! But the U.S. government is one of the most racist governments on the face of the globe! Yet that doesn’t make it AT ALL okay for other countries, nationalities and/or races to feel that they’re better than anyone else either! We are ALL one race, the human race! And we ALL need the One and ONLY True God through Jesus the Christ (John 14:6)!

    @Azi… Stories for Boys was a long time ago, and Bono was as much of a twerp back then as now. Only now he is a very rich twerp.

    Most of you are big on complaints, but what real constructive solutions can you provide and are working on as an alternative to the directional-tendency which these “elite” have apparently come to so strongly commit themselves to? For people at these levels a person or range of people can start off with genuinely good-ward intentions; to the best of their ability; the manifestation of which then; regardless of the person’s(s’)original or/and current and ongoing desire; is increasingly “overcome” by some creepily strangely ‘queer’ and; most honestly; deeply horrific over-riding, overwhelming; whether come-unto you, and your intent-bearing, subtly in the background as an enormous, long-standing, instituted, so to speak, ‘presence’ or in some more overt way; ‘counterdirective’ and counterForce - as from some overwhelmingly enormous; in terms of the length of its existence, its origin-stance, and how extensively it is woven into and embedded into the existencecraft of that which is (in this context, can be characterized as, or, allow me to characterize it as) the “earth-life(’life’)” or “the earth-existence”; Momentum - a sort of ‘monolith’ of Momentum (in all this I mean a momentum that exists through time/ through the “fall-space” (or “throw” space) of time) that ultimately dictates and presupposes and superimposes upon all course of development; or at least of Adahmic development; a predetermined; ultimately eincontravertabl; outcome. As in that ‘pattern” must complete itself before a new ‘Formation’ could be commenced. In this way any one in the ring of that realm; thus such “elitists”; would be strongly; even if against their own, Individually, original natures; compelled to comply - or else step-down, or else, for the most part, in some way or another be eliminated; or, in some cases, at the least marginalized; from that realm of Conduction.
    Wherein then if somehow you were, in a way, innocently, so to speak, in the midst of, or innocently had ‘Placement’ in the midst of, such Force-and-Power–Rush; particularly if coming from a Catholic-Christo background, in which you are raised with the expectation that ultimately you should stand up for such as that listed in the following; what else would you likely do except try to stand up for and advocate on behalf of; what in simplest terms would be; ‘the helping of people(s) and groups less fortunate than you’, ‘justice in the face of einjustice’, ‘ideas pertaining to some sort of sustainability as opposed to systems that are really (regardless of the einevitability of such because of the situational and developmental realities at such earlier times) derived from a heritage-of-consciousness that is based in a harvesting of resources by means of and as driven by a/ the Pillaging reflex’, ‘the idea of a world that is able to come together in harmony’, and so on. Who of such an orientation; particularly in perhaps not knowing that a seemingly “Peaceful” approach could end up being used as a “duck-behind” for a progression into what deceptively could/would end up being a false ‘Solving’ of Humanity; wouldn’t be trying to stand up for such things to best of their ability? Or who, if amidst such an overwhelmingly powerful Forceful-Throwing into a Globalization wouldn’t advocate for a (what they would hope to be) more cooperative, constructive, course of development into such — when faced with the alternative; and the decidedly default; mode being that of a catastrophically destructive, ripping-apart, mayhem and murder, ‘The War Of The Former Yugoslavia Being a Staged War To Erect A Theater And Forum In Which To, In part, Test Techniques And Methods Applicable To An Accomplishing Of Such Objective Through Such Physical and Technical Means With Conditions Existing In That Region At That Time As Well As Its Geographical Significance Making It Conducive To Such Application’, and so on, based mode and approach and method and course and means to such “now fixedly committed to” Ends? [In this I’m speaking of BONO, and U2. And then also Al Gore, and so on]. The person that spoke earlier, Zooamerica, got it right I think — U2 in their Zoo tour in ‘92 were already speaking about and warning of the types of developments that now are and have been becoming publicly manifest - and this before; likely; many of you who are now complaining about these developments were likely even aware them. In fact if you; though you may be aware of these dangers now and responding to them, as like many of those in which I make reference to in the following; were like many of the people I was aware of at that tome (’92) you were involved in behaviors and wealth-pursuits, groups and race-participations and -affiliations, or just general life-directions and attitudes, that were more in contributing these directions and developments that are more widely recognizing as perilous - if not by direct participation then just by ignorant, if not hostile, neglect. Yes, some of their/his (Bono’s/ U2’s) positions may be a bit trendy at times — but nonetheless it is actually critically important that there is some like him and them to stand up for that side of things, generalistically, and act as a counter-pose and countering-effect to; and sort of ‘voice-of-reason’ that has a counteracting effect relative to; that which is the opposing side to such stance - as what is already built-up on that side and the way in which that side is inclined — were it to be allowed to or were it to just blindly, ‘eincontravertedly’/'uncontradictedly’ commence with and execute its plans and that stored in its impulses and inclinations without some guiding-ful redirection and call to readdress and reconsider, and/or without anything counteracting it; there would be such - immediate - horror that many of you who are complaining now would be instead pleading for there to be some like Bono, and U2, and even AL Gore; etc.; just; if nothing else; so that; and in desperate need that there somehow be; someone or something at that level of standing that somehow was able to, to the best of their ability, try to genuinely stand up for some sort of hopeful, humanely-correct, direction. After all, as distinct from the opposing side, these aren’t people who are standing up for fascism, these are people who; though perhaps ‘deceived-ly’ misguided in some areas in perhaps not understand what ‘corraling’ actions are underfoot and what they may likely lead to; are trying to; in the face of the einevitable; stand-up for some sense of global justice and liberty - to the best of their knowledge. Sure there may be some hubris-based hypocrisy at times, which they themselves are self-effacing and self-acknowledging about, but this is a band that started out as based in UK/Ireland’s 80s and 70s punk scene and as immersed in the warfare between England and Ireland which no doubt has effected their life- and world-view. And besides, what other superstar level ‘rock’ band even tries to genuinely stand up for issues of “justice for all” — much less has a band-heritage, a band-basis in the doing of such. And who of you after attaining such levels of wealth and success would even; had you ever done so at all; continue on in such campaign and seek to maintain such post and vigilance. Many of you; and if not you than likely most of the rest of the world; would say, ‘I got my money and position, screw everyone else.’ I think its easy to criticize those in the arena when you’re not in it; and even, have never been in it; yourselves.

    And yes, in this all, THE EDGE is a better ‘guitarist’ than Keith Richards in so much as - in that which is Art; and Art-Of_related; it is not always so much the technical-prowess or musicianship that is the thing that is truly of value but instead that which is conveyed through the Veil of the to-Art-connecting craftingwork that matters and is lasting. For instance playing the Blues, is fairly simple in construction and the most effective forms usually do not require extreme technical skill — and yet there is deep emotional and soulful honesty that has been conveyed through; and that is able to be conveyed because of; its (seeming) simplicity — an emotional and soulful honesty which; in that direct, rawly-honest (and moving in the manner that it is because of that) way; likely would not have been able to have been/ would not be accessible through a more technically-complex style. [And yet of course there are as well more complex forms that have been able to reach more; also soul-accessing; Deep, more depth-fully, complex truths — such as that in certain modalities of Jazz, and that in certain Classical compositions in which in the workings of those particular musical postulations their Composers were able to, in their seeking of such by means of that styling, reach by and through the inter-facing of that musical crafting; and also, as is also so in similarly-related piece of Jazz, to depict; certain deep, ’soulful’ or/and transcendent truths. And even in the technical-complexity of the progmetal band, “Fate’s Warning” in their song, “A World Apart” we we an example in which a more complex style is effective in reaching and evoking deep, rather striking, emotions and sensibilities. Nonetheless it is not the technical skill itself that is the basis of bringing about something truly lasting and enduring to the degree to which it ‘naturally’ (from the point of view of the degree to which it reflexively, ‘unconsciously’ in a way, instinctively, flows out of the generator/ musician) elevates or/and connects to some sense of a Universally resonant and transcendent truth or truthfulness, or, a truthfulness, or sense of truthfulness, that conveys a sense of some larger, transcendent Truth or Truth-relatedness. It is instead the sense of a Truth-Ofness or Truth-related_Ofness or/and to-Art-connecting_Ofness that is In the maker/ generator, that is resident In the maker/ the generator of the Expression-Field, and that such maker/ generator is somehow Of and Related to (again, particularly perhaps when the expression of such is instinctive and ‘unconscious’ and from a sort of natural, ‘unconscious’ reflex) that ultimately matters, with the Expression-Field itself; whether technically simple or complex in the way it is wrought; acting as the broad-castable Medium of connection — wherein again it is often when such Medium is derived from and wrought from an untrained, intuitive basis; at least at its beginnings; that it is the most transparent, the most pure, and the most (deeply) effecting and truthful — and inter-connective (and transcendental). Again here I speak of such as that of U2 and BONO, in their derivative aspects].

    In all this I don’t speak with out experience. I started a project, called, Socium Development, which was meant to both help with some of the ensuing developmental problems and warn of the dangers of the likely coming of an anti-christ age and of how social engineering, and the development and developments of such, would likely be used in regard to such (this was prompted; much earlier on, back around ‘82; to some extent at first by what I had read in a book by, Constance Cumbey, entitle, The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow, as well as some other works) and it included, and includes, as I still try to keep it ongoing, a media component which was scored to include U2 — whom I had contacted right around that time ‘92, just somewhat before Zooropa and so on. It also was laying down the specification for the “Post-60s overall Generation”, the span of which didn’t have a “market-handle” applied to it nor a “coining” of or for itself yet — in fact, in the media and marketing world, no one had yet been able to figure out how to get a handle on such up-coming population segment(s) or how to market to it/them. In the course of doing so I would make reference to the “Twenty-Something” Generation; as that’s what it was at that time; the term of which; in my coining of it; was a bounce off a baby-boomer T.V. show that was on at the time called, “Thirty-Something”, and, although I am not into Babyboomers (I am in that, then, “Twenty-Something” age span and of a Generational-Formation (there are different ones) from amongst it), I had to make pitches to Babyboomers, and was making a pitch to the “Thirty-Something” production company; amongst others; at the time, and the use of “Twenty-Something” allowed for a “familiarity by approximation” type effect to explain what was then still a very blurry concept and really, a pretty much entirely ignored age-group (the Babyboomers were an entirely self-absorbed group that always wanted the spot-light on themselves and the world to revolve around them, and pretty much didn’t see beyond their own noses and self-concerns — as sadly, to, in many ways, an even larger extent, are those they eventually decided to hand off their tinny ’scepter’ to — their creepy; in so much as its being a phony development; brattily-based offspring - which were; by an outside prompt - the unintended prompting of an other, authentic, development; batched together and ‘given’ this term ‘Gen-X’ (and so on) ) and its development, its frustrations, its Promise, and its hopes. In this vein I had also made reference to what was a fairly obscure book at the time, entitled, “Generation-X” largely about slackers in that twenty-something age group and there abouts — whose characterizational-range was not a proper characterization nor footing for the Post-60s overall Generation. Nonetheless, soon after my making reference; relative to what I was working on and that of Socium Development and Engineering; to such, it; “Generation-X”, “Gen-X”, and even “Twenty-Something”; came to be picked up upon and used as mounting for the way in which that age-group-span would; outside of the authentic elements of and proper authoring-points and originating-points, and concept-origin_points of and within that age-span; be crafted — and thus… all that; along such lines; which subsequentially has come to develop. In any case, after my having started this “annoucing”, initial publication, inviting involvement process, and particularly upon my having contacted U2, my life was progressive torn apart. I progressive became a target of this strange, weird sort of underground predation, and I found U2 suddenly being, irrationally, villainized. And then sometime after I was set-up and attempts were made of my life. At the same time it ended up that a close friend of mine had actually gotten “drafted” into this “behind-the-scenes”, world-government based, running, and managing, CIA like agency. He had met this brilliant young woman Doctor in and from Ireland who ended up also being in the agency. They got married, and soon after she murdered right on front of him - as, supposed, he was supposed to have been as well but the “gun” malfunctioned and he got away (during the term in which he was in it, he was several times “lucky” in that way, in so much as he was supposed to have been killed off and some how; whether by biological-vector, mechanical one, or otherwise; whatever the method was it ended up failing). The sense, as I understand it, was that the two were from different divisions of this “agency” and that their commingling of their abilities and being brought together in that way; apart from and outside of and basically as an act of separating or separation from this “company”; posed a threat or potential threat to its; such “agencies”; supremacy and its objectives and programs. From what I understand this had been done to others in his division and, from what I was told, there came to be at some later point an act of retaliation against the managers, or really above that Level, the “heads” whom were responsible. Everything going on and that was going on in that “realm”, meaning in that so-called “agency”, was so surreal and dizzying, and just beyond-belief and difficult to apprehend mentally, so to explain why someone having gone through such things would end up still staying in it, is not worth explaining — one just does. Its not like, for the most part, you can simply walk away from it. Besides, once you’ve been in that, you don’t much seem to fit in with the rest of the world, with general life and with people in-general — and most of the time you are trying to figure out what it is that just happened and what is happening and what all that means. Nontheless, some years later; again, just from what I was told; there was some village somewhere in eastern europe I think, which had been unwittingly administered some sort of chemical agent that was suppose to induce something like some sort of homicidal psychotic behavior; from what I was told; maybe as part of a program to determine how to use chemical methods to create killers to deploy in war actions (with there being; from what I understand; or having been at that time in any case, this on going effort to figure out how to “operationally control” the global population as a whole - meaning, how to be able to “operate” it, as one does a object) or to use as unwitting agents in the confines of general populations to, presumably, deploy against whatever chosen target there was which, it being so decided, had cropped up in that sector at whatever given time. In any case, from what I understand, the test had gone bad, and the whole village had turned…monstrous. And so it was decide that to contain it a “company” detachment would be sent in to just wipe out the whole village. My buddy was part of that detachment, and when he got there he just suddenly cracked, he refused to do it. He said it was just wrong and he wasn’t going to do any of this crap anymore and that he had had it with the “company” and they could do what they wanted, they could try to shot him dead right there if they wanted but that “try” was the operative word because he would taking as many of them down with him, as they “tried” to get him - and knowing his performance level and past performance they knew that he could and also because of other connections that he was intertwined with that things were such that if anything happened to him it would start a chain effect and would thing would lead to another and would just be a really bad scene, and so, in his case; which was of course an extreme rarity; he literally did just walk off, just walked away from it, and just left the “agency” and that was it. And his walking away lead the way for others being able to get out of it also, which many did. But of course once you’re out you find it very difficult to fit into a normal life, so eventually many of the people have ended up going back in, in some other capacity. He didn’t however, which is very difficult - but because he knows its anti-christ he can’t stand it. Although in all fairness, as I understand it, there are different groups of types therein — there is the group that believes there is a God and believe in god and are aware of what this “agency” thing is and try to acting in it as a countering-measure against that which it is leading to. Another group believes that there is God, are aware of the anti-christ nature of the “agency” and its going-ons and against God and in support of the anti-christ or/and anti-christism. Another group doesn’t know either was. And another group doesn’t know either way and doesn’t care - they are just interested in doing whatever promotes them and gains them advancement. In any case, typical to such situations, if you are out of it, you end up being “black-balled” and kept shut out of employment — as both he and I for the most part pretty much are constantly. One thing to especially note though, which you may have over looked, is the reference, earlier in this text, to the term, “heads,” which really should be stated as “Heads.” It refers to the Head points of this organization “agency” or “entity” — some what like one says the “Heads” or “Head” of a company or a business entity, etc. In this case this “company” is head by “pact” of seven people, or Seven “Heads,” or to be more specific, there are seven controlling seats at the top of this globally controlling organization, which are occupied by seven head people. The specific seven people occupying the seats actually changes periodically due to internal political conflicts and upheavals, and periodic internal warring, but the sense is that eventually it comes down to, fixedly, seven specific person - “The Seven Heads.” And in that “The Beast” refers to an amalgamation of humanity itself — combine the two and…well… there you have The very Configuration, itself. …Behold…who can fight against it…

    And in regards to CAPTAIN AMERICA’S anger against the making of references to God. Although it is popular to be an Atheist now; especially with all this antichrist(and largely Race-Klan based in some form or another)-christianity - what better place for that which is anti-christ to position itself than in that which is supposed to be that stake of/in humanity opposing it; if there were no such and had not been some such base-binder and mold that Generations grew up in and developed within, the result would not have been the popular mythical idea that everyone would just somehow magically get along because of some inherent goodness in people. It would instead be a barbaric world — more barbaric than that which it has already been with the inclusion of there being at least a presence; however veneer it may have ended up being; of a Christiveness and a Christive expectation — a barbarity and Beastliness which; in the absence of, and in the face of and as the sort of “yield” of the ongoing demolition of any authentic such “‘to-a-Christiveness’_holding-and-connecting” providing or attempting Institutions, or in any case, soulfully-resonate Standard-beaconing or/and Standard-holding Repositories/Institutes/Conservatories of such “to-Christ-connecting/aligning/adhering/relating/seeking” enstating; we now progressively are seeing emerge.

    And in regard to that espousing of a “Taking back the World” and “Taking the World for christ.” For those who are Christ-related or -abouted — these ideas out and about about a “Taking back the World,” “Taking the World for Christ” and “Stopping the anti-christ” — although those who espouse them may be well meaning -those sentiments are, to my understanding, actually “anti-christ” and scripturally-contrary themselves — in a similar form as that of Peter saying to The Christ, Y’shua, ‘I will not let you go to Jerusalem and be crucified!’ Although Peter may have been well meaning, his actions were chastised by Jesus/Y’shua as unwittingly being satanically motivated; really the sense being - a satanic manipulation of Peter’s emotions and vulnerabilities and of his lack of a greater understanding at that time of what The Christ had come for; in that they sought to redirect that which The Christ had come to accomplish — which was specifically ‘to be such Sacrifice/ the being such Sacrifice, and in such a way’ the onset of which would create a redemptive Breaking of the direction of growth of the humanity/ the Adahm; at that point in time and that point of its (humanity’s/ the Adahm’s) growth-course; by which it could be re-set correctively. Similarly there is the sense that; or really: “there Is that”; the age of the anti-christ has to run its course in order for the larger pattern to be completed and then; as it says in the scripture; ‘like a nightmare,’ ended (and give way to the: ), so that the Creation could be restarted in, and asserted in and as, its correct and true form, and in an aincorruptible way. So there is this sense that people aren’t really supposed to “stop it” — but rather really just to remove themselves from it and call others to remove themselves from it (The Christ’s: ‘although you must for now be amongst the World, do not be Of it, but be removed from it”) — and yet at the same time also to make declaration and exclamation against it, to show the wrong that it is and to show its wrongs, to show what its really doing, and to disclose its deceptiveness, and, to hold up a light of Christiveness to counter its; such anti-christism’s; effect(s) and to shine a lightway unto that which is redemptive connection, and reconciliation to The; and ultimately to The Father (and thus ultimately also to a “Holy” State - i.e. a Whole State - a Solved, and Corrected and Correct State, and Truth-Of State) by way of; The rescuing Christ — who is the True, Authentic, Redeeming Christ; wherein/ wherefrom that reference “sin” means a faulty or distorted development or development-course and -outcome — a Formation that is not forming in the way that it is meant, nor into the being that it is meant, to be - not formed or forming into that which is its Correct, its Whole, its intended “Holy,” and Wholly, Form and Way - thus the sense: “all,” meaning the entire Adahmic form, “have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,” - meaning the entire form/entity is in a, and is developing in an, aincorrect and malformed way, although the bits of the Form; or of the Body; in the course of its forming may not be specifically aware of the malformation (although they likely experience the effects and by-products and consequences of such malforming - though most likely without registering what such effects, by-products, and consequences are actually due to). Also, again, as to this popular sense of a “Taking of the World for Christ!” and “Taking back the World”, etc. — most often such “Taking of the World” ends up really meaning and being a taking of the World for; and, really, actually being motivated by the desire to take the World on behalf of; such ‘Taking group’s’ sake and their/ its appetites and desires, and in ode to themselves and their image and their pursuits and their desires which they project as God (in order to get the upper-hand and a sense of, and the ability to project over others the sense of; Over-Riding, Superseding, Authority, and special entitlement-provided-for Allowance…) Thus again, the Peter reference.

    Who ever said that individuals would be taxed for breathing CO2???
    WE ARE DISRUPTING THE CARBON CYCLE, but not by breathing! We burn too much of it in the form of hydro carbons once locked in the crust of the Earth.
    You people ACT AS IF IT’S YOUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO BURN AS MUCH CO2 AS YOU WANT WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE!
    By making a market for carbon trading, we can help limit the massive amounts of EXTRA carbon release.
    And by the way, shut up about grain for food vs. grain for fuel. Has anyone here looked at algae as a fuel feedstock? Do you understand R&D into gasification of plant matter waste? There are many steps being taken to make biofuels a real possibility on a large scale.
    Anyone who wants to debate anything mentioned in my post or any other here should get in touch with me directly: eric@newschoolers.com .
    The elitists want to control your energy sources too. You will never have energy independance the way you all think, and there will be consequence from loading the planet with way more carbon than it’s used to seeing… ad something like a huge natural CO2 release (say a large volcanic erruption) and s*** is definitly going to go down. It’s called a rapid climate change event, and will only last ten years or so.
    I lie a lot of Ron Paul ideas. But you are all wrong about respecting this Earth, which is the only home we’ll ever have.

    Bono became a ridiculous caricature of his own fame. Yes he has become an elitist or at lest their useful idiot. An irony for a guy who seemed genuinely
    concerned for the common man back in the early 80’s. If you want to see a pure unadulterated U2 video (before they became ridiculously infected with their own fame) go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPyhYczii8I

    Patrick,
    “So sorry Michael, no apologies will be winging their way to you over there in Idaho or where ever you are, STAND UP AND BE COUNTED instead of being sheep worrier all of your like.”

    I never asked for an apology. However, James did. But you must have been too drunk to read my comments and respond appropriately.
    I must thank you for providing some comic relief. But will not be extending any apologies to you either. You too are an arrogant schmucktard from EU as you pointed out. I would like to ask, “What the hell does “instead of being sheep worrier all your like.” mean? But, you’ll probably be drunk again when/if you can find your way back to this exchange and thus, too drunk to respond appropriately. Should you make it back, I would like to notify you that I will not engage in a battle of wits as you sir are vastly outmatched.
    Have a nice day.

    @NAEW,
    I hope you will forgive me for picking out a few points from what is a long and fairly wide-ranging post. You say that “Sure there may be some hubris-based hypocrisy at times, which they themselves are self-effacing and self-acknowledging about”. Actually, if anyone is self-effacing, it is Dave Evans and Larry Mullins. Mr Hewson has never, ever shown the tendency to be self-effacing. Self-promoting, yes, but self-effacing, no.

    You then go on to say… “but this is a band that started out as based in UK/Ireland’s 80s and 70s punk scene and as immersed in the warfare between England and Ireland which no doubt has effected their life- and world-view.”

    Sorry, but this is just BS. I grew up in the same city - in the same circles and for several years attended the same church as Hewson, Mullins and Evans, and I can’t say that the ‘warfare’ impacted on our lives very much. Perhaps your statement comes from a lack of understanding of the nature of the conflict and the geography of Ireland.

    You then say… “And besides, what other superstar level ‘rock’ band even tries to genuinely stand up for issues of “justice for all” — much less has a band-heritage, a band-basis in the doing of such. And who of you after attaining such levels of wealth and success would even; had you ever done so at all; continue on in such campaign and seek to maintain such post and vigilance.”

    The truth is, anyone who can think for themselves does not need a clown like Bono to do it for them. I don’t care what his opinions are. I don’t care what causes he champions. I do care that his pronouncements reek of utter hypocrisy. How dare he advocate a tax that I will have to pay when he ships his business interests out of the land of his birth in order to avoid paying tax.

    Lastly, you say… “I think its easy to criticize those in the arena when you’re not in it; and even, have never been in it; yourselves.”

    If I didn’t know that Mr Hewson has always been a pompous, self-absorbed and intellectually vacuous individual, then I might be inclined to agree with you. The fact is that had the tendency to preach on matters beyond his understanding long before the band moved into the limelight. His pompous preaching started way back when they were playing to small and largely disinterested audiences in an overgrown flea-market housed in a decaying former soft-drinks factory in the centre of Dublin. Fame and wealth have nothing to do with it, except to make the problem worse.

    Fame and fortune do not give anyone the right to impose their worldview on others, no matter how poorly or well that worldview has been formulated.

    Eric,
    We don’t burn CO2. We burn carbon-based fuels, which produce CO2. CO2 is also produced by breathing and is vital to the plant-based lifeforms as their source of fuel. CO2 makes up only 3% of the total greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, with water vapour making up most of the rest. All the indications are that the period of warming has halted - long before the eco-fascists have had their way with our wallets (pocketbooks). Minor fluctuations in the output of the Sun have a far more profound effect on our planet than our presence ever could.

    The truth is that we are poisoning our world in many ways, but CO2 emissions is not one of them. If the problem was truly potentially catastrophic, then don’t you think “they” would come up with a more radical solution than “more taxation”. Give me a break! This global warming (sorry, isn’t it called “climate change” now?) nonsense is nothing more than a totally transparent ruse to levy yet more taxation, and should be resisted. In the meantime, we would be far better off working to eliminate true toxins from our environment and making sure our governments understand their place.

    Who ever said that individuals would be taxed for breathing CO2???
    The Elitist…They call it a breathing tax that leeds to a one child policy like China.”Eugenics” look it up on Google. All First world nations normally drop in population do to good health though good food and life style.Now we have pollutted food, money going down the tubes, and Carbon Tax. Just read the document, it’s poeple not smut from factory stakes.Maybe easyer to look at it as a poeple tax. factories pollute, not really the people. Stop Buying their products ,till they clean it up!

    @Sullivan

    Thanks for the corrections. I agree about the imposition of worldview on others. Ideally people need to be able to form and come to their own realizations and have their own thoughts and opinions, as, fundamentally, such practice and ability is basic to an assurance of; and to an asserting of, and an asserting-exercise in maintainence of, the Right to; Aindividual Freedom, and a sense of overall Freedom in general. However their is a value in someone being able to take on and stand for a strong point of view in the direction of the attempting of some sort of constructive, cooperative, course of overall development — although I agree, ideally it should be proffered up as something people come to themselves instead of something imposed upon them. But again, even an imposition-posed form of advocacy in that direction is of value in terms of its effect as a counteragent to again, the opposing position in its imposing form — such as that witnessed in the form Hitler, fascism, etc. — new forms and trends of which have been on the increase throughout many sectors of the global population — whose dictates the members and proponents of which are more than willing to impose upon others. Also we factually are at a point in which we are faced with rapidly forming, potentially catastrophic developments in a number of areas - including, and perhaps most pressingly, issues of rapidly shifting Climatic patterns, changing patterns of Natural-phenomena, Resource-scarcity issues, etc., which then have geopolitical consequences and effects, and so on. And are not some mythical, made up difficulties, these are difficulties which daily we are seeing and experiencing the, rapidly increasing, realities of — clearly witnessable in the changing expressions and behaviors of weather patterns, and in that of the pattern of animal populations, and plant-life. So I think; although it can be uncomfortable and irritating, there is a move to be a little “shovy” when it comes to these issues and the reality of their urgency. I can sympathize with and relate to your irritation and frustration — yet I think there is a value there (Bono, etc) that may be somewhat superseding to a degree. I think that there really is something genuinely perilous in a nearby event-horizon that maybe so overwhelming that it’s easier for people in general to just dismiss. In fact I’d have to say that certainly; maybe in somewhat of a similar fashion; some governments have been redirecting their populations away from an awareness of; as some parents may do to their children, hoping they can fix the problem in time before it impacts them — or/and maybe even more so - as a business may do to its clients hoping it can fix the problem before it and the knowledge of it effects its profitability (or at least to minimize the damage that such awareness, minus a redirecting, otherwise could have) - or, again, as a nation may do to its general citizenry in hopes of fixing the problem before it effects the nation’s economy, its profile and validity relative to the rest of the world, and its overall viability; these realities, and now the nature of these realities is so impeding that they no longer can. I also think that there is an Anti-christ or Antichrist-like figure or entity or organization that is likely to or is likely to try to take, and likely has been taking, advantage of this situation and this Condition/ these conditions but that, nonetheless, the conditions themselves are not imaginary but are in fact real — although maybe their effects are in some way magnified or accelerated by these Interests/this Interest for reason related to Their/Its own end-game objective(s).

    Also - one more note about Bono and U2. I think he was/ they were inspired by Jesus, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, John Lennon, Nelson Mandela/ Steven Biko, and so on wasn’t he/ weren’t they? So I think he means for his seemingly “proselytizing” behavior to be taken in that vein and as being modeled after that manner of things - as someone to fill in or participate in that sort of spot and post in a time in which there is an absence of such people and things. Wasn’t he and weren’t they born in the 60s (and so grew up with alot of that)?

    And in Addendum to my earlier text. In my saying, ‘just be removed from the World,’ I don’t mean that people shouldn’t try to aid in the rescuing of others and each other impacted or being effected by or who are likely to be effected by such changes in the phenomena of Nature; and so on; nor work to find answers to these complex problems progressively effecting the Globe and us all. But rather, the sense of that which “the world” is that of a sort of ancient “corrupt-system” which developed/ was developed on the earth — and thus of a being removed; as much as possible, and in anycase in soul; from that, and the likelihood that it has to run its course before a/the New (and Correct thing) can come about.

    THANKS SULLIVAN FOR YOUR REPLY. I VALUE IT.

  58. NAEW on January 27th, 2008

    I think that is something going on in terms of changes in Nature and Climatic changes. In California and in the U.S. there are all sorts of locationally-uncharacteristic strange weather patterns. Hot days in the midst of winter, and then suddenly raging, flooding, rain storms, and then suddenly hot, sunny days again. An occasional out of place tornado. Odd animal migrations - ducks at the beach, seagulls in inland states and cities. i don’t know what is really causing it. I don’t know if CO2 levels really have any effect. Maybe that is a way of covering up for something else that has gone a rye. You hear about weather control experiments and so on, but I have near-hand knowledge of confirmation of the like. I do know that climatic changes are real because I am experiencing it and witnessing it all the time. Even if its just part of a natural cycle the significance is still enormous - particularly in view of the domino effect which the progression of such would einevitably, einvariably have on other systems — including and perhaps of particular note, the food-change (and thus all of the dynamics and processes connect to/ dependent upon it). I agree about the taxation though, that does somehow smell “fishy”/ seem suspect.

    @Captain America

    Yea I can go on and on at times. I guess I had a lot stored up that I wanted to say that I hadn’t been able to for a long time and suddenly found an opportunity to say here. Hm.

    O.K. What is your solution, Captain America? Do you think that any of these problems are real? And what is it (apart from me) that you really are pissed-off about?

  60. NAEW on January 27th, 2008

    That should have read: “but I have no near-hand knowledge of confirmation of the like.”

  61. NAEW on January 27th, 2008

    “food-chain (and thus all of the dynamics and processes connected to/ dependent upon it).”

  62. Sullivan on January 28th, 2008

    @NAEW…
    Bono et al are rock stars and should stick to making rock music. Nobody cares what their opinions are. Why should their opinions matter more than those of anyone else, just because they are grossly overpaid for what they do? Just because they chose at some stage in their lives to form a band does not confer on them special powers of perception above and beyond those available to the rest of us.

    As for the weird patterns of nature you observed, some of them (such as seagulls inland) are due to the birds adapting to our lifestyle and deciding it is easier to feast on our waste-tips than find food the hard way. The climate oddities can be just as easily explained by fluctuation in solar output than the unproven CO2 myth.

  63. Captain America on January 28th, 2008

    NAEW, I’m not pissed off at you. You make valid points when you’re not tripping over your fancy words and phrases. My problem is when people choose to write novel length opinions. You want to pen a lengthy opinion fine, put it in a blog on your myspace, your own website, etc. I’m quite sure i’m not alone when i say i like to read various opinions, NOT JUST YOURS! I don’t mind reading your opinions, they are interesting (to say the least), but cut the fancy vernacular crap and get to the point as Bill O’Lielly likes to say…keep it short and pithy!

  64. NAEW on January 28th, 2008

    @Sullivan.

    No I disagree with that one. If that were the case we would have seen a repeating pattern of such adaptation in the past, as there has been plenty of time for such variance of behavior and migratory patterns to manifest. These variances or something particular to this time and the rapidity of its occurrence and increasing scale and magnitude of the phenomena suggests that there is something else going on (other than simply a benign adaptation to our lifestyle). Also it doesn’t explain changes in plant life cycles. I would think that it may be explained by differences in solar output and long-range wobble shift and elliptical orbit cycle patterns of the earth — but all such possibilities are still long-range cycle patterns, likely lasting hundreds if not thousands of years until there is a returning to a “normalized” state again. So even if it is not due to CO2, it is still not a mythical problem (in fact even if somehow it is a manufactured problem, it is still a real problem with real consequences), it is a problem with potentially very real consequences which still does in fact carry with it the portend of a very real threat and possibly of catastrophic states of disaster.

    If you think that none of this is true, do you think that the whole thing is entirely a fabrication, entirely made up? That ALL of it is disinformation and that all of the actual phenomena can be explained away as harmless normal variations that should be held as being of no significant concern and which pose no threat nor immediate nor potential detriment; not now nor in the reasonably near future (such as the next 100 years), nor would progress into any larger pattern that could or would come to amass or culminate into a thing of major concern or which would in fact come to form into something that would be a catastrophic threat? Do you feel that the whole enire thing is baseless?

    I can see how some of it may be hype. There is at times something sort of creepily hype-y and pretentious about some of it - the current bandwagon-fade that certain celebrities, whom themselves are not made of the stuff of such concerns nor really hail from any such base of such concern, jump on as part of their cosmetic-practices and to increase their celebrity profile (though again, I hold that criticism for those whom in no way have been based in such concerns or character-of-being, and actually still are not, and with whom the taking on of such concerns is really simply more of a fashion-accessory and social-accessory than something that they are substantively related to. But for those who take it seriously, there is legitimacy in their contributions and participations, as (if nothing else) someone has to wave the Flag(s) and Flaggings that jog and keep jogged the awareness, and has to be able to do so even in the realms of Popular space); and so on and so forth. But yet I do strong feel that beneath all the hype, there is something real to it. I don’t think that all of it is singly just hype. And as much as buying in to all the hype could keep a person distracted from the truth, refusing to take any of the hype seriously could keep a person blinded from important truths lying beneath it.

    Hi, Captain. Your words are very reassuring. Thank you. A blog - I’m just getting familiar with that. But yes I really should start a blog, that’s a great idea. I never have been much good at the “short and pithy” skill. I tend to think you have to fully realize the answer in all its aspects as much as possible before you put it forth - which yes may get awkward for others I think. Hm. I’ll work on it.
